College ID Camp
Get seen by college coaches
Three times a year at Oglethorpe University, players ages 14–19 train and compete in front of coaches from top Southeast college programs, all in one day.
What a camp day looks like
9:30 AM · Check-in
Pick up your camp shirt and get ready to train.
10:00 AM · Training session
Technical and positional training in front of college coaches. Goalkeepers train in their own group.
12:00 PM · Lunch break
Lunch isn’t included. Restaurants and shops are right across the street at Town Brookhaven.
1:30 PM · Games
Game play while the college coaches evaluate.
3:30 PM · Meet the coaches
Talk with the attending college coaches. Camp wraps up at 4:00 PM.

Meet the coach
Jon's Story
Coach Jon Akin has seen the game from every level: youth soccer in Pensacola, Florida, All-American honors in college, then a professional career in South America and Europe.
In 2001 he co-founded Future Stars with fellow former pro Gilbert Jean-Baptiste. Every player's journey is different, so his programs now span every age and level. It's his way of giving back to the game that gave him so much.

FAQ
Which college coaches attend?
Coaches from more than 20 college programs have attended, including Clemson, the University of Chicago, VCU, UAB, Georgia State, College of Charleston, Mercer, North Georgia, Oglethorpe and LaGrange.
Will attending help my player get recruited?
An ID camp puts players in front of college coaches in a real training environment, so coaches can evaluate them in person rather than on video alone.
After camp, coaches have every player’s contact information along with our staff’s notes. We record training and games so our staff and other coaches can review them, and families can purchase the footage. Coaches follow up directly with players who are a good fit for their school.
What ages can attend?
College ID camps are for high school players of every age, plus gap-year players (roughly ages 14–19). Future Stars covers ages 4–16, and the High School camps are for high school players preparing for their season.
Is lunch provided?
Lunch isn’t included. There’s a lunch break from 12:00 to 1:00 PM, and Town Brookhaven, with plenty of restaurants, is right across the street.
What should my player bring?
Cleats, shin guards, a large water bottle, sunscreen and money for lunch at Town Brookhaven. Every player gets a camp shirt at check-in.
What time does camp start and end?
Check-in opens at 9:30 AM and training starts at 10:00 AM. Camp wraps up at 4:00 PM, after players have time to talk with the college coaches.
